Revelation 15

CHAPTER 15
The seven last plagues
And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous. Seven angels having seven illnesses which are the last woe, for in them is finished the anger of God.
2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those that had conquered the beast and his image and the number of his name, standing by the sea of glass, having harps of God. 3 And they sang the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, singing: Great and marvellous are your works, O Lord God, the Almighty. Righteous and true are Your ways, You King of the ages. 4 Who shall not fear, O Lord, and glorify Your Name? For You only are holy. For all the nations shall come and worship before You. For Your righteous acts have been revealed.
5 And after these things I saw the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven opened. 6 And there came out from the temple the seven angels that had the seven illnesses, dressed with precious linen, pure and bright and golden sashes around their chests. 7 And one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the anger of God, who lives for ever and ever. 8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power, and no one was able to enter into the temple, until the seven plagues of the seven angels should be finished.

Commentary

15:3 We shall sing this song, by God’s grace! As Moses rejoiced that God’s people had escaped from Egypt, so we shall rejoice that we have finally and irreversibly left behind the flesh and this world.
